Automated Design of Tiny Machine Learning Models: A Practical Guide (Part 1)

Danilo Pietro Pau, Danil Zherebtsov, Dmitriy Proshin, and Andrey Korobitsyn

The authors will review the current state of tiny machine learning (TinyML) at the community level, also introducing and elaborating on the main practitioners' needs to develop ML models, as well as discuss in detail how the technology driving TinyML is rapidly evolving to be available to the community such as introducing advanced tools to achieve automated deployment. Given its length, this article will be split into two parts; this is the first half, and the interested readers are referred to the second half in the next issue of the IEEE IoT newsletter.

Article 3Freeing Energy: An Interview with Bill Nussey (Part 1)

Hi, this is Chris O'Connor, your IEEE Newsletter Editor. Today I’m with Bill Nussey, CEO of Freeing Energy and CEO of Solar Inventions. We are focused in this conversation on the phenomenon of local energy, what it is, what it means and how it has become something we all should be aware of for our local environment, our local communities, and most importantly how Local Energy is a part of how we think about power and power generation for the future. The maritime industry is a critical component in international supply chains. However, it is highly sensitive to and dependent upon external factors, so much so that in 2018, a new maritime industry was observed to be evolving.
