To really understand the Internet of Things (IoT) requires application, implementation, and execution in the real world. IEEE IoT recently launched a program to provide the IoT community an interactive platform on which to engage with use cases, service descriptions, business models, and reference implementations that will be key to developing a vibrant IoT industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to the IoT cause, as well as get excellent exposure for your projects and ideas.
Retail AQ Sensor
- ICT CityPulse
- environment, health
Team skywalkers is developing an indoor AQ sensor for retail space with a human metric (traffic light system) to help staff & other stakeholders understand the data. A union of retail workers mandates or encourages the initiative to install AQ sensors in the retail environment. The data is communicated directly using the traffic light system but in the long run can influence business decisions by retailers, policy lobbying by unions and governmental/regulations by cities. Occupational exposure work already going on could leverage this data.
