To really understand the Internet of Things (IoT) requires application, implementation, and execution in the real world. - Our technology is based on encoding information in photonic-engineered tags placed on objects and subjects, and decoding them using a smart (hyperspectral) camera. Not only can we identify who or what the camera is looking at, but also remotely infer the 3D coordinates, speed, and orientation of a tagged entity. The system can then collect data on observed entities and provide analytics on their identity and movement, which aligns with the IoT theme. See www.thewhollysee.com/applications/
